ADDENDUM TO JP COGER’S WASHINGTON COUNTY UPDATE 2/16/25  RE: CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS ON THE AGENDA FOR 2/20/25

Everyone, because my newsletter already covered so much stuff, I am doing this addendum to cover only the Conditional Use Permits (CUPs) that are on the agenda for Thursday’s Quorum Court Meeting.  I didn’t want these to get buried in the regular newsletter which already had so much information.  These CUPs impact our lives and properties and they deserve extra attention, so please excuse the extra email this week.

We, the Quorum Court, will be voting on these at our next meeting on Thursday 2/20/25  at 6:00 PM:


Item 11.1  RATIFYING CUP FOR THE MOONLIGHT ON THE WHITE RENTALS PROJECT.  


  • Moonlight on the White Rentals CUP, 18250 Saddlebock Ln, Springdale, AR; Applicants Christy Stigge.  Proposed Use:  Commercial – Kayak, Canoe, and Fishing Gear Rentals. 4.38 acres.  The County Planning Board approved this CUP on 2/13/25 with 4 members voting “in favor” and 0 members against.  The full background and synopsis is contained in the agenda starting on page 20.  


Item 12.1  RATIFYING CUP FOR THE ARKANSAS MAILING SERVICES PROJECT.


  • Arkansas Mailing Services CUP, 10504 & 10506 Hwy 265, Greenland, AR.  Applicant:  Jon Jones.  Proposed Use:  Commercial – Mailing Services - 6.08 acres.  The County Planning Board approved this CUP on 2/13/25 with 4 members voting “in favor” and 0 members against.  The full background and synopsis is contained in the agenda starting on page 25.


Item 13.1  RATIFYING CUP FOR THE HOGEYE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION FACILITY PROJECT.


  • Hogeye Wireless Communication Facility CUP - 14652 Hogeye Rd, WC 28, Prairie Grove, AR 72753.  Proposed use:  Communication Tower Facility. 49.73 acres.  The County Planning Board approved this CUP on 2/13/25 with 4 members voting “in favor” and 0 members against.  The full background and synopsis is contained in the agenda starting on page 30.


Item 14.1  RATIFYING CUP FOR THE DEVIL’S DEN PROVING GROUND PROJECT.


  • Devil’s Den Proving Ground, 12743 W Hwy 265, West Fork, AR.  Applicant:  Brahm Driver and Michael Davis.  Proposed Use:  Commercial – Office Space Building. 10.03 acres.   The County Planning Board approved this CUP on 2/13/25 with 4 members voting “in favor” and 0 members against.  The full background and synopsis is contained in the agenda starting on page 36.
